NOTE: If ANR follows the Generator Number above, a kit is available but please read the following information:
We have the correct parts for the engine and they work fine so it is not a
performance issue. However, there are two things you should know.
First, using bi-fuel with the single cylinder Generac engines requires that an
adapter be installed between the carburetor and the air cleaner. When
installed, the air cleaner is moved out one and one quarter inches
(1-1/4").
As designed, the gasoline choke lever that operates the choke passes through the housing for easy access at the front of the housing. When the adapter is added, the little plastic button on the tip of the choke lever must be removed and lever must be cut off or bent up to allow the closing and opening of the choke during use on gasoline while the adapter is installed. It may be inconvenient but there is another option. If the adapter was removed whenever gasoline was used, the modification of the choke lever would not be necessary. Secondly, the little rubber crank case vent hose must be extended by adding a tube to make up for the increased distance. The rubber is cut, and a tube is added.
Because of these extra requirements necessary to use adapters on these
engines, we list them as ANR so that you are aware of the
issues prior to ordering.
